There is something romantic about being on the water when its dark. But not when you are being towed into shore because your battery went dead. My life on the jet ski was extraordinary, every weekend I would gather materials for a project or discover old, abandoned gold mines. I found the end of the river feeding the lake too. I always stayed 100 yards away from other boats to avoid rude wakes. I have only encountered a couple of rattlesnakes in all the time I have spent there, whether it was sunbathing, or hopping the rough waves during the afternoon winds.
When I had a small sailboat, I used to appreciate the predictableness of the wind during the day. Rarely getting stuck in irons. This lake has many places to stop and make camp, but I have never spent the night. Only spending the time after 10 o’clock with the company of a ranger escorting us out of the park.
Update on the house that got trashed. My friend has totally remodeled the insides. The deck is still under construction but is so large you don’t miss it. After tens of thousands of dollars, the house is ready for lake vacationers. This picture is off the deck outside of the master bedroom. The master bedroom gets all the good views. I wanted to give my friend a compliment on how efficiently and completely the mess was resolved.
What lake is this Kerry? It’s beautiful!! And I love the voiceover feature!
